It’s a comment I hear often – “there’s no wheat on the label, but I still get sores in my mouth!”
For a time I couldn’t tolerate any dairy or soya. In fact, if I ate chips without gluten in the ingredients I would often experience negative reactions. I would re-check the label, confused, until I realised that soya was present and that my reaction was to soya (not the ‘undeclared gluten’ I would falsely accuse manufacturers of). As my body recovered, I was able to eat the same chips without experiencing any negative reaction.
